per the iraqi information minister...."the airport is under iraqi control.....and there are no coalition troops in baghdad......much of the coalition forces are surrounded or on the run"............this thing is closer to being over than we thought.....and saddam is kickin` ass.....thank god we have access to these objective arab news outlets.....and even the slightest dissent...even from slanted al jazeera,gets them booted from iraq...
anybody see the irony here?......that the poor people of iraq and these other failed societies don`t have a prayer of living normal lives....free to access information....free to see all views and make their own decisions....afraid to voice one iota of dissident speech....this is not just iraq.....this is the way the a good portion of the muslim world is ....that is not a racist statement...
one thing this war might do is afford some modicum of freedom of thought and expression..or at least a divergent point of view.....we know how valuable a commodity that is...we see it here on something as inane as a gambling forum....how can you possibly have a successful society,when you are only allowed one narrow,biased, state mandated view of everything?
change and adaptivity are crucial to societal progression...in closed societies,you see the stagnation of thought and desire for achievement ....it`s hard to imagine how it will feel for people to live in a society free of minders,death squads and thought police....a people,many of whom haven`t the slightest idea that there is a different world than the one in which they live.....
and n.korea makes this society seem like utopia.....read up on n.korea(if you can get any information....it is limited)....a society filled with extravagant palaces,monuments and clean,empty streets....a society in which kim jung il is considered a diety....otherworldly....a very strange and eerie place....
